Mental Health First Aid Training – This two day training, delivered by an instructor certified through the Mental Health Commission of Canada, will educate participants on how to recognize a change in behavior, respond with confident conversation and guide an individual, experiencing a mental health crisis, to the appropriate resources and support.
Disability Management in Today’s Workplace – The result of this workshop will be key personnel who are trained to better manage employees from the perspective of injury or illness in addition to complying with applicable legislation and the Duty to Accommodate while keeping costs under control.
Manual Material Handling Techniques – This class focuses on proper position when performing physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The instruction will cover basic anatomy of the spine as well as understanding the importance of using proper techniques. The session is presented in the workplace so that employees can participate in a practical session using actual materials handled while on the job.
Office Ergonomics Train the Trainer – The Train the Trainer approach enables hands-on learning of basic office workstation analysis. This session is geared towards instructing the employee, supervisor or management in basic ergonomic concepts providing them with the know-how to ensure that employees are properly adjusting their chairs and workstations.
Safe Transfer Class – Geared towards the nursing home industry, Safe Transfer Class is a practical and interactive session that teaches employees how to safely perform 1 and 2-persons transfers while protecting the safety of the patient as well as themselves. The session is very hands-on with time allotted to ensure that each employee understands and can demonstrate each transfer technique.
